2021 Brings Growth to Our Firm

We are excited to announce and welcome Melissa Strompolis and Alene Willingham to our team. Melissa will serve as our Director of Research while Alene is joining the team as an Administrative Assistant.

Melissa received a Bachelor of Science in psychology from Eckerd College, a Master of Science in general psychology from the University of West Florida, and a graduate certificate in nonprofit management and Doctor of Philosophy in community psychology from the University of North Carolina-Charlotte. She is a sought-after partner and collaborator in the areas of nonprofit management, strategy, and systems; child maltreatment, adversity, and resilience; and community-inclusive models, programs, and partnerships. Prior to her work with 1000 Feathers, Melissa served as the Director of Research for Children’s Trust of South Carolina.

Alene brings 14 years of professional administration to 1000 Feathers. She is not only proficient, but passionate about helping organizations function at peak efficiency. As a previous business owner, she also understands the importance of positive client relations and relishes the opportunity to assist in the growth of the firm.

1000 Feathers President Forrest Alton is thrilled with the growth of the team as the firm approaches its 5th anniversary. “Our belief has always been that creating a positive experience for our clients and partners requires a diverse set of experience and expertise. We have built our core team and added nearly a dozen thought partners with this in mind. This isn’t just growth for the sake of growing; it’s growth designed to position us to better serve.”

Meet the full team.
