Connect with Cayci

With 20 years of experience in nonprofit, coalition, and higher education communications, Cayci brings a unique mindset to 1000 Feathers, but perhaps one of her greatest talents is telling a story. Over the years, she has expertly crafted messages for general audiences based on large amounts of data and sector speak. Having built a strong network of media contacts across South Carolina and surrounding states, she brings value in both message creation and distribution.

During her nine years as a director and senior advisor at the South Carolina Campaign to Prevent Teen Pregnancy, Cayci pursued her master’s degree and began sharing her lessons learned with communications students at Newberry College, where she served as an adjunct professor. She has also been a sought-after speaker and trainer on communications, marketing, and fundraising topics (i.e., Together SC, SC Chapter of PRSA, Clemson Extension, Wholespire, and SC Primary Healthcare Association).

With a Bachelor of Arts in communications from Newberry College and a Master of Arts in communications from Queens University, Cayci is also a talented graphic designer and social media manager. In 2019, she was honored as a Woman of Influence by the Columbia Regional Business Report, and in 2013, she received an Award of Excellence in Advocacy Communications from the International Association of Business Communicators (South Carolina Chapter).

A leader in her community, Cayci is a graduate of the United Way of the Midlands Blueprint for Leadership program, serves on the media team at Chapin United Methodist Church, volunteers her time as the communications chair for the Chapin Middle School PTO, and has previously served on the chapter advisory board for Kappa Delta Sorority at Newberry College.

She loves the lake life in Chapin, SC with her husband, Charlie, and four kids, Lucas, McLane, Mary Georgia, and Annie.
